     23/04/06

Spring is finally here in all its glorious colour. If we could just guarantee rainfree weekends we'd be sorted!

Did a few maintenance jobs yesterday on the GPZ, I need to get the VTR serviced too. I'm not as confident to start taking the Honda to bits, firstly as its not had any major services yet and secondly I'm not yet as familiar where everything is!

Back from Thruxton - a perfect weekend for it. Did both days, took the car on Saturday so we weren't hefting all the gear about. Beautiful weather for it today and a good bunch of races. Will try to write up all the races (and Donington which I haven't done yet) within the next day or so. I've got some photos to get up there as well.

Spent a few days up in Chirk, North Wales whilst on our holidays. Back to the grindstone tomorrow though... fueled up the GPZ tonight ready for the morning. I've got some more workshop woes to report from that department as well, will get on with that tomorrow.

Time continues to disappear... I've done quite a lot to the site, hope you like the new streamlined look and the improved navigation system.

First round of the BSB at Brands was damp, muddy, but good. Not least because it gave me a great opportunity to wear my newest boots....

caused quite a sensation at Brands Hatch I can tell you!! Not being squeezed into bike gear I was also able to indulge in banana and maple syrup crepes... yum yum!

We're off for the week now so looking forward to our Easter break. Been out on the VTR a couple of times in the last few days, still takes a few miles to get used to the different responses from bike to bike.

The GPZ will need a new front tyre soon, its getting rather lumpy again. I guess I use more severe braking on the GPZ than I do on any of my others as I don't see the others getting out of shape at all.
