Hi Jo, it was me who left the Hogmany wishes. I've finally made out of the UK and I'm here in Thailand for a couple of years studying an MA. Just bought a new bike and will try to send a pix or two via the old email address I have for you. I'm still on the old monoplex address. Jim

Hey Jim! Ahhh, it did pass my mind it may have been you. Thanks mate. Those pics you sent are quite something, a world away from the M25 and even the lush countryside of Sussex. Great to hear from you. Keep on munching those miles :-)

Hi Girlie-biker, great site, very inspiring, found it by "accident" doing a Rospa search!! I'm new to biking, and being another girlie, think it nice to see it from our side, also being "cough" 46, from the slightly older prospective, keep up the good work!

Thanks for the lovely feedback and good luck with the RoSPA - I can't recommend my group highly enough but I have learned it is all about the individuals so do find something that fits you and your needs. Yes, being slightly more "mature" we do have some advantages after all (we're generally less inclined to want to hurt ourselves)!

Hi there! Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. Congratulations on passing your test and welcome to the riding world! I'm up to five years this June, in fact I hadn't realised it was that long already. I can guarantee it - this time next year you'll hardly remember how hard it is now. Best of luck and ride safe.

Can I contact you about the exhausts? Anyway, good site and lots of stuff to read. I like it that a girl isn't scared of getting down n dirty and to tell all about it is a bonus. John

Thanks John! Sure, I was thinking I'd pass on the cans with the bike as I have finally decided I must regrettably sell him but I'd certainly consider selling them on their own. Drop me an email sometime.

Hi Girlie Biker, V.impressive site, ended up here via a post you put on the UK Bike Forum, very impressive indeed !! Nice ZZR very clean, I like my Kawasaki(s) too !! and I commute most days except when it snows !! Got a Z750S at the moment and a Zephyr 550 in bits in the garage. This spring the project is to restore it to its former glory !!! so I can ride it in the summer. Have a few biker mates but no one who lives anywhere near me so only get to commute :( Aiming to try and do somewhat about that this year :) If you want to say Hi I'm jbmugwump on the ukbike forum Safe riding in 2007 JB :)

Hi JB - great to hear from another fellow Kwak enthusiast! Good luck with the project bike, I quite fancy doing something like that myself but I'm so lazy I'd never get done. You're on the right track with the forums if you want to get out more - I look forward to bumping into you sometime. Ride Safe!

Naw, not brave - just stubborn!! Takes more than a transit van to beat me!! Seriously though, its makes me think sometimes but its too much a part of me to give up just cause of a bump here or there. Hurts more to look at the bike when its in bad shape usually, such a sad sight.

Hey Jo, I made it back in one piece from North Thailand after doing nearly 5000Km on that CB750. For all that, it was great to get back on the ZZR. You might like it over there - great biking country, awesome experience. I hope you are well. Best regards... Jim (Monoplex)

Glad to see you made it back to Blighty safely Jim! Must have been an incredible trip, wish I had the guts/wherewithal to do something like that. We're doing good, thanks. Great to hear from you!

Hi again Jo, Just popped in for a quick browse (like you do...) and saw that you have a few ZX-10R bits for sale - how come you have them - do you have the rest of it too? I'm toying with the idea of one for a trackbike and an accident-damaged one is always worth a look... Keep up the good work, Scotty x

Hey there, nope the bike is fine - Michael had a teeny accident with his new 10 (it fell over on his parents drive whilst we were on holiday) so we've put it back to rights sharpish. We're about to sell off a load of stuff on ebay from the garage so if you think you might be interested in any let me know before we start. (discounts for peeps who collect!!)

Hi Jo, just thought I'd drop in for a browse, it's been a while since I did... keeping up the good work I see.. I like your musings under "about"... I don't know that I could be so restrained on some of those subjects... and I'm sure there is a line in the Highway Code that says "Thou shalt get out of Bikers' way...." well, there should be at least. Take care, Scotty

Hiya Scotty! Glad to see you back (I'm glad anyone comes back!) I know what you mean, although I do try to keep them constructive as well as just a moan. Do come back again!

Thanks! Sensible!? Which one! I presume you mean the Zed... I guess it could be described that way, although I prefer to think of it as subtly sporty! ;-)

Nice site Jo, are you a bit of a stunt-monkey or do you have a big neon sign above your helmet shouting "Knock Me Off!"? No offence, but I might decline any invitation for a ride-out or whatever.... I don't like the prospect of having a target in such close proximity :-O Nice site though, keep it up hun! Scotty :-)

No offence taken! Although all of my accidents so far have only taken place on my way to and from work *touches wood* so you'd be pretty safe anyway! Stunt-monkey - if only! That would be safer I reckon. Thanks for the visit! :-)

Clicked to here from Bikegirl.co.uk. when looking for girls to ride out with. I'm new to biking, and thought your site was great. Full of the joys and perils of riding. I'm shorter than you and on an SR125, one day I hope to do my test and get these L plates off. Maybe then I'll get waves too. Even though it's probably too posy for my little bike, I couldn't resist getting a red leather jacket when my black textiles jacket zip broke. I told myself it was I could be seen, but really, i just think it's cool. Now I just need to find a bike that will match it. Loved the sky photos. If i ever get to Boxhill, I'll look out for your bike and come and say hello. i always feel a bit out of it at these stops with loads of biker all knowing each other it seems but everyone needs the loo ! Send me a note back sometime. sqwifevev@fsmail.net

Thanks for the compliments. Its nice to know my site is of interest to others. I hired an SR125 for a month and they are very low, but fun too. Nothing is to posy - every bike deserves style, as does every girl! Take your time choosing the right bike for you - but a nice bright red 125 Gilera with full fairings would go great with the jacket ;-) Yes, do - don't be shy. It can be intimidating but do come and say hello. Its true, everyone does need the loo.... hmm maybe the shy types should hang out there as we all end up there sooner or later? It's an idea! Already on it's way! Ride safe and good luck for the test - you know you can do it.

hi, great site. Maybe you can help me with some advice. I like sport bikes but I am too scared to ride because I get intimidated by their big size. Any ideas what bike would be perfect for a beginner? Something small maybe, just for training? please email atena_f0606@yahoo.ca Thanks

Wow, peeps asking me for advice! Well first I'd say a little bit of fear is OK, it will probably keep you from doing anything silly. Yes some big bikes are intimidating - the first time a 500 was wheeled out for me on my training week I didn't believe I could ride it. Being stubborn as a mule (and then some) I did. However I have since learned you really don't need to start big. There are some really nippy and cute 125s and 250s out there. They are light, small, low to the ground for short legs, and can be a lot of fun. I would stick with my advice to keep the bodywork to a minimum on your first bike to save the tears if it does have a spill. You can learn how to be a good rider on any bike, its simply a case of taking what you learn with you as you move up in the bike world. If I did it all again I would consider something like a ZZR250, an Aprilia RS125, a Cagiva Mito (125) or something similar. The main thing is to sit on lots of bikes and find one that you like and that likes you (you'll know what I mean when you find "your" bike). Don't be put off by shiny showrooms and scary sales people. I hope you decide to give it a go!

It would be cool to keep in touch with you as u sound like a good laugh. email me if u wish @: darrenarmour@yahoo.co.uk

Hi Daz, thanks for your comments! I wanted a black and titanium colour scheme myself, but those models were too new for me to afford at the time. Its a very nice look. Yea best not to give him any ideas of his own! I'll maybe drop you a line as soon as I catch some free time. Take it easy out there!

Hi girlie, appreciate you responding to my comments, was wondering if you have any trick, & inexpensive ways to make my ZX600E faster, also I know I need a new shock & fork springs, new shocks are really expensive here, should I just have it rebuilt? Would love to hear your input on these matters, thanks & ride HARD! Bob from California.

Hiya again Bob! Trick? Me!? No sorry mate, I'm pretty much a beginner in a big wide world. A new shock I need also - I will go for new - as I believe a rebuild is not enough for what I need. Good shocks start from around £250 here but I think it will be money well spent. one thing I would recommend is a proper suspension setup - SBT did mine and it felt like a brand new bike. Take care out there!

Heh girlie, I have a 1996 ZX600E, same color as yours, love the bike, am getting a Muzzy 4-1 exhaust for it, K & N air filter, re-jetting the carbs, hope to be able to keep up with the new R6 & 636 Ninja. So far I've gone down 1 tooth on the front sprocket & it made a huge difference in acceleration. Love your site, Bob from California

Bob! Thanks for stopping by, great to see there are people in the US that have real style & taste! ;-) I didn’t fancy 4-1 myself – no way would I want to lose the center stand for one and was worried about the weight balance being a shortie! Plus to be honest – I just love the twin exhausts – means I’m TWICE as hard! Ride safe!
