Lazy, lazy, lazy! That's what I am.... sorry!

Well, let's see... it wasn't the CDI - I stripped the bike right down in the end and discovered one little wire broken on the ignition switch at the bottom of the ignition barrel. Took me a week mind and boy was I getting wound up about it.

A huge thank you to Beaky for all his help and advice and to Peter at Capital Bikes (who was the one who said to check the ignition switch) and to my neighbour Clive for the use of various tools and his time too!

It did teach me more about my bike - I took bits off I never would have dreamed of touching, I tested, cleaned, poked and prodded almost every bit of it. By the time I found the problem the bike no longer even looked like a bike (except for the wheels!)

The weather is pretty depressing just now - very glad to be back on my GPZ though, hated commuting on the VTR.

The chain guard has since fallen off, yea, yea, if it's not one thing it's another! I'm going to get that welded back on this weekend hopefully.

Going to have a look at some bikes too I think. Definitely decided I'm going to sell the ZZR, well - I think! Not quite sure yet what I'm going to get but it has to be something I can ride as well as I do my GPZ but with a bit more power.

As much as I'd really like to have a Ducati monster (love the sound) it don't think it's a sensible option. I did look at the Buell Lightening but its too tall really for what I want.

You would not believe how many breakers (and dead lines and places that might have once been breakers but most certainly are not now!) I rang over the course of Saturday and Sunday.

Rang 3 today and one came up trumps, not only did he have the part, but at a reasonable price and what's more he's local to me. I can't collect it as my working hours make it impossible but Mikey is going to collect it tomorrow for me. Check out the link to Capital Bikes on my links & breakers pages.

GPZ is off the road again, seems the recent troubles I've had, which I thought were fuel-related were actually the CDI unit going. Had to be recovered by the RAC from work on Friday (recovery truck arrived at 9pm). Still at least I know what needs to be fixed now.

Been on the phone to breakers all day, hence I have now done my own breakers list. At least you know you're not going to get dead lines or wrong numbers on my list! (Well not for a while anyway!)
