The Sun & The Moon                                                

                                               These days the sun

                                               & the moon are at

                                               opposite ends of the earth.

                                               Poles apart almost.

                                               Wasn’t always so, you know

                                               Tis said they were the once

                                               the best of mates,

                                               inseparable it seemed.

                                               It just goes to show,

                                               we can never tell

                                               what the future will bring.

                                               What came between them?

                                               you ask, Surely you can guess

                                               from where the problems

                                               the divide, did stem….

                                               A star of course,

                                               a pretty, sparkly star.

                                               The moon was besotted

                                               and when the star was spotted

                                               falling towards the sun…

                                               Well that was it,

                                               what was done was done.
